Daily Devotional for Women Power Tip: Ask. - Coach Livi
Stepping into your inbox right now bearing a gift. It's not money. It's not tangible. It's not something you can get from the world. As a matter of fact, I need to correct myself. I can't give it to you because you already have it. I believe my job this evening is to bring it to your remembrance. The Lord will have His way in your life but you need to show up and ask. Matthew 7:7-8 makes it clear but I think you forgot so lets dig deeper:
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
I need you to ask yourself a few deep and soul searching questions:
1. Are you ashamed? Are you refusing to ask because it will expose your weaknesses? The Word declares that our righteousness is but filthy rags before the Lord (Isaiah 64:6). Understand, that your blessings aren't about you. You're not looking for Him because you have it all altogether, you're looking for Jesus because you need Him.
Please believe that God knows you don't deserve it, but He loves you enough to cover you. He has deemed you worthy by the blood of Jesus, not your works. Shed off the mentality that you're not worthy of the impossible blessings.
Stop believing that you have to perform to be worthy of receiving His unconditional love for you. Just for you. There is now NO condemnation for those sitting under the righteousness of Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). Get in the Word and write it on your heart. He loves you too much to leave you in this performance-driven mockery of faith. Stop thinking that if you pray harder, work more, and fast until you drop that you will somehow earn favor and move the Lord to give you what you want. Stop breaking yourself, breaking His heart, and forsaking the gift that He has already given you.
The moment you gave your life to Christ, you we're placed in His care. You are under His protection. You belong to Him and He will take care of you. Just ask. Glory, Hallelujah.
You are in the world but you are not of it. The Lord our God is shaking the very foundations of the Earth and calling forth the remnant to declare His glory. He is calling the overlooked and the "useless". He is demanding that we rise, pick up our beds, and walk. It's okay if they're sleeping on you. It's okay that no one see's the vision but you. Embrace the valley because it shook loose the dead weight. Don't forget that they left but you were never alone. Turn to God and Ask.
